Kuala Woh Recreation Park Perak

wide and shallow flow clear water

wide and shallow flow clear water

Kuala Woh is a riverside jungle park located close to Tapah,Perak. The flowing river, mature trees(meranti, keruing, nyatoh and merbau) and hidden valley setting provide a pleasant atmospheres for lovers of nature and the outdoors.

I think few times i have been here at Kuala Woh after go down from Cameron Highlands.Just to take a deep breathe, sit on big rock here and bathing.

How to reach

Way before you reach Lata Iskandar, at the 13th km along the Jalan Tapah-Cameron Highlands, there is a huge and fast flowing stream where cool water flows down from the surrounding mountains and merge at certain parts with hot water, flowing out of rocks. Called the Kuala Woh Recreational Park, this was once the only place in the country with a caravan park but is now visited mostly by day-trippers as there are no caravans around to take advantage of the facility. The recreational park is not exactly by the main roadside as you have to turn right at an adjoining road and proceed 2km further before you get there

Itulah Kuala Woh

suspension bridge is sturdy and safe

such a great nature place for relaxing

However, this place is perhaps the most established waterfall recreational park in Perak with facilities for relaxation, ample camping space with allocated lots, and even chalets managed by the State Forestry Department for those wishing to stay.

The place is surrounded by secondary jungle and Orang Asli villages. There are facilities for relaxation such as ;

-Gazebos
-Toilet/changing room
-Chalets
-Museum
-Suspension bridge
-Open hall
-Camping sites
-Natural Hotspring
-Batang Padang River
-Huge parking space for cars

The view of hot spring

This isn’t an ordinary river. In Kuala Woh, it has a hot water pool formed by a hot spring. The water is not hot, but we can feel the heat of the sand at many spots when we walked along the river. At certain part, the sand is very hot, people even cannot stand there more than 5 seconds

There is a huge and shady parking space and a nice tiled paths that pass through several rest shades, while hibiscus and bougainvillea bushes as well as wild trees surround the place adding to its beauty and providing shady relief. The area around the Kuala Woh Recreational Park is clean and well kept and by the sandy banks of the main stream, you may spy at Rajah Brooke butterflies in groups of 20 or more, sipping mineral from the ground.

Aku seronok dan suka berehat sambil tenangkan fikiran di Kuala Woh ini.Tempatnya tidak terlalu sibuk dan padat dengan manusia.Ini pun kenangan lama tahun 2010 2011
